First, start by dicing the red onion. Add it to the mixing bowl. Then juice half the lime right on top of the diced onion and add salt to taste.
Secondly, finely dice and remove the seeds of the jalapeno for a mild flavor. You can remove the seeds by scraping them off with a small spoon. Then chop the plum tomatoes into medium size chunks. Then add to the mixing bowl.
Roughly chop cilantro and then add to the bowl.
Use your chef's knife to mince the garlic. Then add to the mixing bowl.
Finally, add salt and pepper. Then mix well together and serve.
