Are you looking to whip up an easy guacamole recipe in under 10 mins? Well, you are in the right place. This easy guacamole recipe only consists of a few fresh ingredients that are so simple to put together.
What is guacamole?
You might be asking what guacamole is. It’s an avocado-based dip or spread. It is also a condiment that almost anyone can enjoy. It originated in Mexico and has become part of international and American cuisine. It is usually made with ripened avocadoes that are mashed and a few fresh ingredients. You can use fresh ingredients such as; cilantro, jalapeno, lime, or whatever else you think will complement the avocados. Mix it all together until it forms a spread or dip texture. You can eat it with, tortilla chips, tacos, toast, or fajita-style quesadillas.
How to make guacamole?
You’re going to need a few ripened avocadoes because this is the base for the dip. I like to keep it simple and use cilantro, jalapeno, lime, garlic, ground cumin, and salt.
What equipment do you need?
I like to use tools that make the process of putting together a recipe simple. A lemon squeezer to juice the lime and a Microplane to rasp the garlic. Having these tools makes everything so simple and easy. When serving I like to use a Molcajete also known as a mortar and pestle. This tool helps mash avocados. You can also grind spices, herbs, and grains.
Now that we have the basics down, you can easily make it. This condiment/spread is so popular that just about anyone will eat it. It is certainly a crowd-pleaser. I like to serve this to my guests when I have company over. It’s always a winner. Another great crowd-pleasing recipe is my Tostones Rellenos de Camarones and Turkey & Cheese Pinwheel Sandwiches. I’m sure you will love them too!
