Classic Pico De Gallo
Equipment
- 1 Cutting board
- 1 Chef Knife
- 1 Mixing bowl
- 1 Serving bowl
- 1 Small spoon
- 1 Lemon Squeezer
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup red onion diced
- 3 plum tomatoes chopped
- 1 tablespoon jalapeno diced & seeded
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon cilantro roughly chopped (optional)
- Kosher salt to taste
- fresh cracked pepper to taste
Instructions
- First, start by dicing the red onion. Add it to the mixing bowl. Then juice half the lime right on top of the diced onion and add salt to taste.
- Secondly, finely dice and remove the seeds of the jalapeno for a mild flavor. You can remove the seeds by scraping them off with a small spoon. Then chop the plum tomatoes into medium size chunks. Then add to the mixing bowl.
- Roughly chop cilantro and then add to the bowl.
- Use your chef's knife to mince the garlic. Then add to the mixing bowl.
- Finally, add salt and pepper. Then mix well together and serve.
